What's an Appeal?

It refers to a request made to a higher court after the final judgment has been rendered, asking it to review and, if necessary, reverse the lower court's decision and turn it in the losing party's favor. The losing side must cite legal arguments for why it believes the lower court's decision was incorrect and why the higher court should reverse it. The grounds on which it can be filed are mentioned below:

A LPA is an appeal from a smaller bench of the same court to a larger bench. Before going to the Supreme Court in these circumstances, the appellant has the option to refer the matter to a bigger bench of the same court.
